I successfully updated my iPhone to 2.0 this morning. I started about 4:15 AM and finished about 5:15 AM. This includes the full backup and restore and a couple of sync's after to get all my apps installed.
Everything went perfectly. Thank you Apple.
More about iPhone 2.0 later. I'm heading back to bed!
Oh, my, looks like a good reason to wait until tomorrow morning, or some off-hour tonight to do the update.
]]>I've updated iTunes, and keep checking for that new iPhone 2.0 software. It's not available yet, from iTunes for download. Hopefully this afternoon.

Tickets to see Eddie Vedder in Milwaukee at the Riverside on August, 19 went on sale through the Tenclub today (July 9) at 3:00 PM Central Time. I clicked at 3:00 PM, not ticket link. I clicked and clicked. No link. Finally I saw the link at 3:02 PM.

My wife and I had a good weekend with no kids.
We spent Friday morning, and afternoon, relaxing. Then went to friends for drinks and dinner.
We spent Saturday road-tripping to Lake Geneva. Once there, we went on a boat cruise, and walked around downtown a bit. We headed from there to Summerfest and caught "Cheap Trick". It was a good show. Then we drove home and got stopped on the highway, I-94, for almost two hours, at 12:30 AM. A car/vehicle/SUV had rolled over and they had to call in med-flight and jaws-of-life. It was a scary/sobbering experience.
We spent Sunday relaxing. We watched Kill Bill 1 & 2 on regular (TNT) TV. Then went out for a great dinner at a Nepal/India/Tibet place in downtown Madison. The food was great. Then we walked around State Street, the capital, and the Terrace. It was a nice time, in spite of my complaining about all the walking. It happened to be a hot and sticky day/night.
It was great hanging around with my wife with no kids for a couple of days. We have one more day of no kids, and then it's back to the world of being parents.
We were able to discuss list our Top 5 - guitar players, vocalists, bands, concerts, albums, beers, recreational activities, intimate experiences with each other, and dinners.

Bring a coat or something long-sleeve and warm to keep you warm. I brought one fleece and wore it all week when I was outside.
If you forget that something warm, head to Chinatown for something inexpensive emblazoned with "San Francisco". Chinatown is an interesting place. A definite must see to just walk up and down the street to see the people and the shops and hear the sounds.
They actually have jaywalk signals. There's a point in time when all the traffic stops and you are allowed, by signal, to walk diagonal across the street. It was great, I took advantage of it a couple of times.
I've been a Liz Phair fan for a few years now, not since the beginning, unfortunately. Although an ex did lend me "Exile" back in '99 and I listened to it a few times. I liked her, the ex and Liz. I got into Liz again a few years later when she released "Liz Phair".
I had heard she was re-releasing "Exile in Guyville", a sort of 15 year thing. And then when I saw she was in San Francisco at the same time as me, I knew I had to go. Unfortunately tickets were sold out.
Oh well, there's always scalpers or that person who has an extra ticket. I'd go down there and see what I could find.
I got there about an hour before the doors opened and was stopped by a gentleman on the corner. "Need tickets", the large, well-dressed black man said. He reminded me of BB King and Buddy Guy.
"yes" I said.
"70 dollars" he said.
"wow" i said, "I was looking for something less."
"how much?"
"50"
"hmm, how about we meet in the middle, 60"
"55"
"no, i can't do that" he said
And I began to walk away. He came to me and said "ok, 55".
"nah" i said "50"
"shoot, ok" he said.
I said something about the tickets being real, he assured me they were. And I paid the man. Happy to have spent $50 on some $35 ticket.
After that I headed back to where the line was to get in. I was maybe 30th in line. Looked good to me.
Shortly after 8 they started letting us in and yes, my ticket was good.
I grabbed a beer, "Fat Tire" and proceeded towards the stage. Where I stood front row, left.
Just after 9, Liz and the band came out.
She did come out and play a couple of encores, all alone. Declaring that she hadn't practiced anything else. She was awesome and sweet and sounded wonderful.
