LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Four founding members of the rock band Velvet Revolver said on Tuesday they were splitting with the group's troubled singer, Scott Weiland, citing his "increasingly erratic" behavior.

Why am I not surprised by this news? I'm actually surprised they lasted as long as they did. I never got into them, listened to a couple of tracks but never really felt the need to give them a big try. Maybe when/if they find a new lead singer...

That's a shame. And I also am not shocked. It's hard to do business with addicts. I love Weiland, but I'm surprised he's even alive at this point.

My kid met a few members of Velvet Revolver at Rock School last summer. They volunteered and spent 2 or 3 days with the kids.

Scott Weiland is a rehab mess. (no, he wasn't part of the group that worked with the kids).
