our Wii story
We had called and stopped by several stores looking for a Wii on New Year's Eve day. From what I had read Wal-Mart was our best bet because they had them in their Sunday ad. [Now I HATE Wal-Mart but I'd do almost anything to get a Wii. Including supporting Wal-Mart with this purchase. Luckily the price was locked. So there's no extra profit for them.]
One Wal-Mart said they sold 5 that day and were all out. Another said they sold their last one 10 minutes ago. So I started calling Wal-Marts. No. No. No. Yes, we have 4. That one was on the other side of town, a good 30 minutes away.
The boys decided I would drop them off at the door. They would rush in and go to the electronics department and try to save one for us. I did just that and they did their best. They got the clerks attention and there were none on the shelf. BUT, there was one behind the counter. And that one was OURS. We went to the counter and purchased our Wii.
We went from there and went to Best Buy to purchase another controller set and a couple of games. In the end we spent as much on the accessories, just two games, as we did on the Wii.
We brought it home and named it "stone".
